I was reading Christina's blog and I found that what she said makes sense.
for example, not too long ago, the Malay pupils in my school did a skit, and one boy said, "If I give you either 3 or 1 sweets or sweet, what would you choose?"
Definitely I would choose 3.
Numbers can be confusing sometimes. If you see something on sale, one priced $2, and one $2.01, you would buy the $2, right? (Sorry Christina, I hope this is not copyrighted).
In this case, people like the numbers as small as possible! It may only be a cent, $0.01, but in the human brain, or mind, it makes a HUUUUGE difference!
And, if you get 92 marks on a paper and your friend gets, say, 92 and a half or 93, you would feel bad, coz, your friend got better marks than you. In
this case, it's better if the numbers are bigger.
One conclusion: Numbers are confusing.
